I feel people tend to wear black to ‘fit in’ with the masses. In addition, I feel wearing black also shows lack of self-expression and confidence in making a decision about what color to wear. Basically, black is “safe” and hides under the guise that it is chic.

When I see someone dressed in all black, I think they are trying to hard to fit in, and don’t have a strong sense in who they are fashion-wise.

In simpler terms, wearing all black is a cop out, and lacks creativity in any means.

This makes me very curious. Which would be the attitude of Parisians to graduates of the Elite anglo-saxon schools ? How would they feel about People from oxbridge or harvard or MIT ? While taking a master in ParisI found the French Grande Ecole students I’ve met to be very friendly and nice people…

You forgot about the natural ennemy of the racaille, The Rugby player, did you never noticed that where there are a high concentration of Rugby players there are no racailles. Racaille are scum who can fight you alone, cowards, that why they never attack or get in trouble with rugby players.

Ha. Thank you Olivier for putting into words what I have been thinking for some time. I am 24, Parisian, single and happily fooling around with foreigners or the last few fun guys in town, but everyone around me is trying very hard to show me how perilous that is.
Only my most optimistic gal pals say I can still get married before my 30th birthday…
I should move out to California.
